Are There Any Additional Fees That I Should Know About?
- Swap Out Fee. $150 fee to swap out the dumpster during the rental period.
- Fuel Fee. $2/mile for deliveries and pickups beyond a 40-mile radius from Stuarts Draft.
- Landfill Costs. Up to one ton is included with rental, covering up to $65 in landfill costs (effective 7/1/2026). Our usual landfill charge is $65/ton, but other locations have variable rates of up to $85/ton. Most customers stay well under that. If you go over 1 ton or the fee goes over $65, you'll only be billed for the extra. Landfill costs are subject to change and are outside of our control. We are required to visit the landfill that is designated for your area!
Important: Our dumpsters can handle up to 4 ones max. Heavy items can add weight fast, so please check with us first if you're unsure. The overage fee is a minimum of $100. You may be asked to remove items if necessary.
- Overflowing Debris. Please do not overfill the dumpster. Nothing should exceed the top line of the dumpster as we must be able to cover the dumpster before hauling it away for safety reasons. You may be asked to remove items. Overflowing the dumpster may result in $100 overflow fee.
- Restricted Items. Hazardous materials, liquids, etc. may not be placed in our dumpsters. Be sure to read the "Acceptable" and "Not Acceptable" Items list/question. These fines are significant and controlled by government regulations, so please be responsible and transparent!
- Negligent Use. Please do not allow other machinery, etc...to cause damage to our dumpsters.
- Unauthorized Movement. Please do not attempt to move our dumpster. If you need it moved, call us!
- Card Processing Fees. There may be processing fees associated with using a credit / debit card of 5%. These fees may be passed on to the cardholder. Please understand that we do not benefit from this!
- Returned Check Fee. If you pay by check and it is returned by the bank, there will be a $50 returned check fee and we will require cash payment.
- Cancellation Fee. If you need to cancel, please give us at least a 24-hour notice. We are a
family-owned business and we rely on our neighbors to help keep us afloat! Cancellations with less than a 24-hour notice may be subject to $100 cancellation fee.
- Extension Days. If you need the dumpster for additional days past the rental period, that's fine, providing we have availability. Additional days past the rental period are $15/day. Please give us a warning because if we arrive and decide that you aren't ready for a pickup, there will be a $40 fee for rescheduling pickup. We will call (and leave a voicemail if necessary) before we head over to pick up the filled dumpster to help avoid this.
- Permits: In some areas, dumpsters parked on the street may require additional approval and permits. We can help you make this determination; however, obtaining and paying for the permit is your responsibility.
- Wintergreen & Massanutten Trip Charge: Due to the steep terrain and additional strain on our trucks, a premium fee applies for deliveries and pickups in the Wintergreen and Massanutten areas.
Please Note:Â Pricing, fees, service areas, policies, landfill charges, and rental terms are subject to change without notice. Contact us for the most current information.
